Jerky Dog Treats Recall
Do you feed your dog chicken jerky treats? It's time to take a pause and examine the bag before feeding fido another strip!
To date, nearly 1,000 dogs have been poisoned by chicken jerky treats made in China, and the number is growing. The FDA has been warning dog owners since the end of last year to be cautious when feeding their pets these treats, but a full recall has not yet been issued because they have been unable to find incriminating evidence within the production plants.
So what should you be avoiding?
Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand treats produced by Nestle Purina PetCare Co. and Milo's Kitchen Home-Style Dog Treats produced by the Del Monte Corp.
How can you tell if you dog is being affected?
The treats have been reported to cause stomach issues, vomiting, diarrhea, kidney failure and even death in extreme cases.
