Costs and Benefits
The adoption fee is $85 for all dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
Dogs and cats that have been with us for longer than 3 to 4 months belong to our "Lonely Hearts Club," and have an adoption fee of $65. When you adopt a cat or dog from the Austin Humane Society, your new companion comes with more than you know:
- Pets have been vaccinated for many diseases (puppies and kittens have received their first set but may need more)
- General health and behavior screening
- All dogs and cats, including puppies and kittens, already spayed/neutered
- 24 Hour Pet Watch Micro Chip
- All have animals have been de-wormed
- Bark N' Purr Tidy Up Trim & Bath Certificate
- Bark N' Purr Cat/Dog Food Certificate
- Free rabies vaccination, and post surgical and wellness check from a participating veterinarian
- Staff support if you have questions or comments about your pet
- A lifetime companion
